LEADERS EAT LAST by Simon Sinek

A really catchy book about leadership and building a team where members feel safe.
My favourite part of the book was actually about Millennials, specifically on how to lead them and understand their need to make an impact and find fulfilment in their work.
Growing up with social media can also be seen as a strength. Millennials understand it inherently and they are exceptionally good at personal branding as well as remarkably accepting and inclusive compared to previous generations.
They are more comfortable with change and quick to pivot. While they can struggle to form deep meaningful relationships, they excel at first impressions, giving off an air of confidence that is useful in networking and sales.
However, as a Millennial, we also have some work to do, facing some hard truths and becoming more patient.
Short term bursts of happiness won’t make up for the long-term feelings of fulfilment and that comes with involvement, trust and collaboration. Asking for criticism is also important if we want to increase our opportunities to grow.
Lastly, beat the addiction and lose the craving by cutting down the time spent on our phones.

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”
