BECOMING by Michelle Obama

What a woman. What a life story.
Michelle Obama’s memoir is absolutely breathtaking in its ability to connect with the reader, empower and teach valuable life lessons.
The story itself is deeply personal and touching, taking us on a journey from her childhood years to the very last day as a First Lady at the White Hall.
To me, there is a clear underlying message to her many achievements: despite the financial and racial difficulties, her family fostered her confidence and growth over time through education, love and respect. That was the foundation upon which she built, little by little, understanding that hard work and determination is the only way to go and prove to herself that “she is enough” regardless of what people said.
There are certain values that are irreplaceable and what I admire is her ability to not only remain elegant and humble but also teach her daughters the importance of finding their voices and strive to succeed on their own.

“You may live in the world as it is, but you can still work to create the world as it should be.”
